Charged lithium batteries are placed into a pool filled with a liquid discharge medium. Immersion in the flowing and filtered liquid discharge medium allows the charged lithium batteries to fully discharge. The liquid discharge medium is continuously circulated and filtered, which helps improve discharge efficiency. The discharge pool operates under negative pressure in a sealed enclosure. Oxygen, hydrogen, and waste gases generated during the discharge process are extracted under negative pressure. The extracted waste gases are treated by activated carbon adsorption to remove organic components before being discharged in compliance with standards.

After discharge, the lithium batteries are cleaned in a pool with flowing water to remove the discharge medium from the battery surfaces. Following cleaning, the lithium batteries are drained and subjected to high-pressure strong air blowing to remove moisture, followed by hot air drying. This achieves a safe and efficient discharge process for charged lithium batteries.
